The Altona Badminton Centre was officially opened in 1985 by Cr Les Crofts, the Mayor of the City of Altona. WSBA is known as the most prestigious Badminton Specific Stadium in Victoria and comprises 12 courts, kiosk, pro-shop, toilets and change room facilities and a large foyer.

At WSBA we host and support a variety of badminton tournaments and competitions for players from A Grade to C Grade.

WSBA has 22 coaches ranging from Level 1 to Level 3 (the highest). Our coaches have extensive coaching and playing experience training state and Australian players and developing our juniors. For more enquires about the Elite Coaching School contact us today.

WSBA is also used by secondary and primary schools for physical education, training, and competition matches. As part of our development program, we offer a Primary Schools Participation Program aimed at Grade 3 & 4 children. Our facilities are also available for casual hire. Badminton is the fastest racquet sport in the world and a smash has been recorded at 332km per hour! So come down and hire a court today.
